Hazelvine Continues Wasps Involvement
![]() |
Mitchell signed for Wasps on a two-year deal from the New South Wales Waratahs' academy. He joined the club on the recommendation of former England prop Trevor Woodman who coached him at Sydney University.
Upon the announcement of Lachlan's signing, Wasps' Director of Rugby Ian McGeechan said,
"Lachlan is a player who we feel will both benefit from and add to the Wasps environment. We have been impressed with the footage we have seen of him."
Lachlan made his debut for Wasps against London Irish on the 6th September 2008.
As well as the playing side of Wasps, Lachlan has also been out in the community and in December 2008 he took part in a visit to children at the Wexham Park Hospital giving out Christmas cards and presents.
In April 2009, Lachlan and the London Wasps team took part in The Rugby Club's 'Crossbar Challenge' on Sky Sports. Lachlan was the only player to successfully throw the rugby ball through the posts. He therefore went through to the head-to-head stage against Wales legend Scott Quinnell to see who could throw the ball the furthest. Quinnell scored 41 metres and Lachlan scored 41.20 metres, and he won the challenge.
London Wasps have an enviable record of success in The Premiership and european competition, having won 10 titles in 10 years. They are a very friendly club and do a lot of great work in the local community around where we have our head office!

Festive CHEER! - Hazelvine to hold fees for 2009
In view of the current economic climate, and the difficulties we are all facing making ends meet, we announced on the 25th November 2008 that our fees for 2009 will not be increased, but will remain the same as for 2008.
In addition, customers will also benefit from the 2.5% reduction in VAT announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer so management fees from the 1st January 2009 to 31st December 2009, will be less.
We have also sought agreement from our many cleaning and gardening contractors to maintain their current charges and have received virtually unanimous acceptance. If agreement is not reached, the service will be re-tendered before any increase is incurred.
We are reviewing all contracts and exploring every possible cost saving that we can achieve without affecting service levels and standards.
